BIke Mechanic

Passion for people, bent on biking. A broad field of customers and services requires our staff to be diverse, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow individual knowledge and skill sets. The ideal candidate has a depth of customer service experience and passion for people, coupled with a solid technical mechanic background and desire to know local riding opportunities. Bike mechanics are motivated, flexible, critical thinkers with a strong ability to move fluidly between the social aspects of customer service and information sharing, to the technical aspects of repairs, maintenance, and problem solving.

Previous experience preferred

Position Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Customer service experience 
• Previous bike mechanic experience
• Detail oriented critical thinker
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Motivated learner
• Dedication to continued growth and skill development
• Able to give and receive feedback
• Interested in working with diverse groups of people
• Computer competency

Position Responsibilities:

• Rental bike fleet maintenance and repair
• Assist customers with trip planning and local riding/recreation opportunities
• Take reservations for guided trips, trailhead shuttles, and rentals
• Professional communication via email, phone, and in-person
• Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Dates: March 1st– November 28th
• Regular work schedule: 32-40 hrs/week
• Starting pay: $13.00/hr
